Modules and lessons
Video, audio, text, quiz, assignment and slide lesson types. You drag modules and lessons into the order you want.
Modules and lessons, video that streams properly, content released at a pace — and a member app that works on a phone.
I want to create with IdunThe Idun Blue member experience
Modules and lessons with video, audio and text, content released over time, quizzes inside the lessons, and progress that follows the member between devices.

Counted from when each student joined, or set to a fixed date. A locked lesson sends no content to the browser — it is genuinely locked.
Uploaded video is transcoded to HLS with several quality levels, so playback can adapt to the connection.
Where the student is in the course, and where in the video they stopped. Start on a laptop, continue on a phone.
A course is modules, and a module is lessons. A module can be a week, a theme or a phase. The lesson holds the material itself: video, audio, text, quiz, assignment or slides — and you can mix freely inside the same module.
You drag modules and lessons into the order you want. The student sees the whole outline before starting, which makes it clear how much is ahead.
Instead of dropping forty lessons on day one, you can release content at a pace. Drip works on two levels: a whole module can open a number of days after the student joined, and an individual lesson can open after a number of days or on a fixed date.
The clock starts per student. Someone who joins in March gets the same pacing as someone who joined in January.
A locked lesson is locked all the way down: the server sends only the title and the fact that it’s locked — not the video file, not the attachments. That’s the difference between hiding something in the interface and actually not handing it over.
You upload the file and the platform transcodes it to HLS with several quality levels. The player picks a level based on the connection, so the video adjusts instead of stalling on a weak mobile signal.
Audio lessons work the same way. Playback position is saved for both video and audio, so a student can start on a laptop, continue on a phone and land on the right second.
You can put quizzes in your lessons with multiple-choice questions, a passing score and a number of allowed attempts. Attempts are stored, so you can see who passed and on which try.
When certificates are enabled, one is issued after the student completes every published lesson and passes every quiz in the course. It includes their name, the course title and the date, as a PDF with a public verification link.
Certificates are off by default in a new workspace and get switched on in Settings → Features. They are issued for the completed course — not a module or a lesson — and an unfinished or failed quiz blocks issuance.
Upload a video lesson and the platform can transcribe it using Whisper, which we run ourselves. Transcription is built for Swedish speech and gives you both subtitles for the video and a text to work from. From the transcript, Idun AI can write the lesson summary, the key points, a reflection question and suggested quiz questions.
You record one video. The student gets the video, a written summary and something to think about afterwards.
The member app is a web app built for phones. It lives at app.idun.blue and under /portal on your own domain, and members can add it to their home screen. There is no screen-size gate anywhere in it. Members can also use the Idun Blue app for iPhone and iPad. More about the member app.
The course editor in Studio works on a phone too — a deliberate exception to the rule that builder surfaces need a computer. You can add a lesson from the sofa.
A course can have its own room in the community, and buyers are added to it automatically. The purchase triggers the welcome emails and your automations. Where someone is in the course shows up on their member timeline, next to purchases and emails.
