Measure podcast loudness before you publish.

Open an audio or video file to see integrated LUFS, highest sample level and duration. The analysis runs on your device.

Audio is analysed on your device

The LUFS value is a browser-based estimate using K-weighting and gating. Peak is sample peak, not true peak. Use a calibrated audio tool for broadcast delivery.

Measurement

Values appear when the analysis is complete.

Loudness describes more than the highest peak.

Sample peak reports the highest individual sample. Integrated LUFS instead estimates perceived loudness across the programme using frequency weighting and gating.

Two files can therefore share the same peak and still feel different in level. A consistent measurement helps compare episodes and spot an outlier in the series.

A useful check, not a broadcast certificate.

The tool uses K-weighting and relative gating in the browser. Its peak value is sample peak and does not catch inter-sample peaks like a true-peak meter.

Use calibrated audio software when a distributor or client requires a named standard. For routine checks, this quickly exposes quiet audio, heavily pressed peaks or large episode-to-episode differences.
