A bio page is not a miniature sitemap. It is a decision page for someone who arrived with little context, often on a phone, from one social post.

Its job is to help that person take the most relevant next step now.

Use a domain you control

A path such as yourdomain.com/me keeps the visit inside the name people already recognise. You retain the domain even if the page tool changes later.

This does not mean every external service is a mistake. A specialist tool can offer more embeds, routing and analytics. Ownership matters when the bio page is the front door to a broader website, list and product system.

Put one current action first

The first link should match what you are talking about this week. Examples:

  • register for the live workshop;
  • listen to the latest episode;
  • apply for coaching;
  • join the course waitlist.

Name the outcome, not the container. “Book a 20-minute introduction” is clearer than “Bookings”.

After the primary action, include a short stable set: start here, courses, podcast, about and contact. Social icons belong at the bottom unless moving people from one social network to another is the actual goal.

More links create more maintenance. A page with thirty old campaign links asks the visitor to do your sorting work.

Use badges sparingly

“New”, “Applications close Friday” or “Free” can add useful context. A badge on every row becomes decoration and stops guiding attention.

Never use a false deadline. If an application does not close on Friday, do not say it does.

Measure the right thing

Views tell you how often the page loaded. Link clicks tell you which destination was chosen. Neither says whether the visitor purchased, completed a form or listened to the episode.

Use downstream conversion data for that. A high-click link with no sign-ups may have a mismatched destination; a lower-click coaching application can still be the commercially important result.

Review it when the campaign changes

Set a recurring reminder after launches and seasonal campaigns. Remove expired links, check every destination on a phone and update the primary action. This takes minutes when the page is intentionally small.

Idun includes a branded /me page with links, social profiles, visual presets, views and clicks on a connected domain. See the link-in-bio feature or compare Idun and Linktree.
