Getting started

Invite your first members

Send invitations, give access to the right course, and understand the difference between a member and a contact.

Updated July 2026

Everyone lives in one place: People. Members and contacts sit in the same list, and you switch between them with the All · Members · Contacts filters at the top.

The difference is simple: a contact is someone whose email address you have. A member is someone with an account who can log in to app.idun.blue.

Send an invitation

  1. Go to People.
  2. Click Invite in the header. You land on the invitations page.
  3. Fill in Email, choose a Role (Member or Admin) and how many days the invitation stays valid.
  4. Click Send.

She gets an email with her own link. Clicking it, she sets a password and she’s in.

Every invitation is personal — there’s no general sign-up link you can share with a hundred people at once. Under Sent invitations you can see the status of each one, copy the link and send it yourself, or revoke it if you change your mind. The link stops working immediately.

Give access to the content

An invitation gives an account. It does not automatically give access to a course.

Access always runs through an offer: the offer points at a course or a community circle, and whoever buys — or is given — the offer gets the access. To let a few beta testers in for free, create an offer of the type Free and give them the link. See Create offers.

Already have a list?

If your contacts sit in a spreadsheet or on another platform, import them instead of inviting one at a time. See Import contacts from a CSV.

Keep track of who’s who

Add tags right away. It takes two seconds and means you can later send the right email to the right group instead of the same email to everyone. beta, vip, free-workshop — whatever you’ll still recognise in six months.

See Tags and saved filters.

What a member can do herself

In the member app she handles her own things: profile and password, her courses and her order history, her notifications, and the circles she has access to. You don’t need to help her with any of it.

Tips

  • Start with five people, not five hundred. Their questions show you what’s unclear while it’s still easy to change.
  • Send a short email outside the system too: “you’ll get an invitation from Idun Blue in a minute.” It halves the number of emails that land unnoticed in spam.
  • Invite yourself on a second address and walk the whole flow as a member. It’s the only way to see what they see.
